Our plan is to take a bus to get from Dubrovnik to Plitvice Lakes national park and back in one day.
We prefer not do it with the tour group but are not sure if we can do it in one day?
Anyone knows the bus schedules?

not sure you can do it all in one day, I’d recommend spending the night near plitvice rather than taking bus back to dubrovnik… unless you are prepared to take night bus on your way back

Getting to Plitvice Lakes from Dubrovnik
..or perhaps you can consider to stay around Plitvice area the night before to be able to get early morning at the gates.
there are load of accommodation in the area, some are cheap.
national park gates open early morning, although the queues can get very long, if you get up early you will have plenty of time to explore the park and get back to take bus to Dubrovnik.

it is a long trip and i dont think it is good to consider to do it in one day
